Easy Rider Live is a movie-meets-concert mash-up featuring a screening of the indie classic Easy Rider with its bestselling soundtrack played live. Upon release the album shot up to #6 on the Billboard Top 200 charts, ending 1969 as one of the year’s highest–selling albums. Easy Rider began the now-common practice of releasing soundtracks to the music-loving public… and these collections sometimes out-gross the movies for which they were created.

“Easy Rider was the final “fuck you” to the old school studio system. Dennis Hopper’s legendary tale of a motorcycle odyssey gone wrong remains timeless for its diagnosing of the early stages of a social ennui that has now fully bloomed.” (Chuck Bowen, Slant Magazine)

Audience members react to Easy Rider Live:

“Sonic Cinema brought Easy Rider to life, and brought it into today. This was a fantastic experience.”

“There were so many interpretations of the music that made the movie more powerful.
Easy Rider Live was a beautiful night of music and cinema.”

“When the music kicked in, it totally took the movie to a different dimension. It was amazing”
